Hi, I'm Candace Johnson. I am a Registered Dietitian with a specialization in youth sports nutrition for competitive youth athletes.
I have worked as a Pediatric Dietitian for over 10 years where I have helped youth athletes of different sport type and skill levels achieve their performance goals, and prevent or recover from sport related injuries. As a Sports Dietitian I also help parents, coaches and sports staff understand the importance of food and performance while keeping the athletes mental and physical health in mind. I also was an athlete from my youth through college where I experienced how poor nutrition and under fueling can cause unwanted outcomes on performance and overall health. As a Sports Dietitian I enjoy partnering with athletes, parents, and coaches as they navigate athletics.
I also have extensive experience working with athletes living with medical conditions such as diabetes, food allergies, and more.
I strive to provide evidence based sport nutrition education while providing recommendations that are easy for athletes, parents and coaches to understand and execute. While working with me there will be no dieting or cutting out favorite foods. Athletics should be enjoyed and so should the food you eat.
